I wasn’t expecting great coverage with the liquid so thought lets just put this powder foundation over it! I have used my usual powder foundation from IT Cosmetics over liquids before and have great results. Ok, I have to admit it, this is a game changer! Originally I bought this as a powder to go with the liquid foundation. Pair with the entire instaGLAM collection for a glam look on the go. I also found this foundation to be very tacky feeling on the skin. Also, if you are someone that enjoys a lighter coverage foundation you might like this. I would recommend this to anyone starting out with makeup. This foundation is very affordable, was $6.99 at my Target. Does that mean it’s going to bead up on your face? I mean, it has to go somewhere right? Maybe I need to wear this to the gym and see what we get. Another thing that I found on the website was that it pulls oil and sweat AWAY (yes it’s all caps on website too) from your face.

For all skin types I wouldn’t recommend wearing without a powder, it just wouldn’t last long on the skin. There is no way a combo or oily skinned gal would be able to wear this foundation without a powder! You would be shiny in half an hour. Now the down fall, on the CG website it said this has a built in powder! Now it makes sense that they didn’t sell one to go with it but I didn’t see that advertised anywhere! No where on the packaging did I see it, maybe in the small print that I must have failed to notice while at the store. Also seems to be unscented which is very good. The coverage was light to medium I would say. I have very dry skin in the winter and it didn’t make my skin look too flaky. You can feel all fancy having a custom color 😉 Back to the review, the consistency was nice. Also, if you have a foundation you can’t wear because a little too dark, or perhaps your summer foundation, add a little and blend on the back of your hand. You can easily add some bronzer to warm up the face, but you can’t take it away if too dark. Here’s a little tip, if you are between colors, always go for the lighter option. It’s hard! When you are see through white, you can’t wear anything with yellow undertones, or pink, and everything turns orange. That’s ok though, it’s good to know that there is an extremely light option for my pale girls out there. This was however a little light on me (shade 105). I am usually safe with getting the lightest shade, especially in the winter. The colors were a little difficult to pick out, the outside of the bottles all seemed to look the same.

I have my go to full coverage foundations ( Tarte Amazonian Clay and Rimmel Lasting Finish are amazing). I know that CG 3 in 1 foundation has great reviews, but seems a little too cake face for me. Am I the only one that doesn’t like that mascara? I am a big fan of Maybelline mascaras! Anyways, this post should have nothing to do with mascara 🙂 I wanted to give Cover Girl a try again, and go in with an open mind. None that I have tried have really worked for me, like the Clump Crusher mascara. With that being said, I know CG has come out with some popular products. I feel like I need to duck and cover, I know a lot of people really like Cover Girl and have stuck with them throughout all these years. I am not a fan of CoverGirl products, I just don’t think they perform as well as other drugstore brands. Ok, I am going to be completely honest here.
